Principal's Message

We are having a wonderful school year at your Little Rock Central High School:

  • We were the kick off school in Arkansas to host the Facebook press conference led by Governor Hutchinson for the donation of Virtual Reality equipment for our students' use.

  • Central was the host school for the Martin Luther King Commission's King Fest. We had a wonderful day with over 2,000 people attending.

  • LRCH was the recipient of a grant totaling nearly $500,000 which will help restore the historic exterior of our beautiful school. We were one of 39 preservation projects across the country to receive funding through the African American Civil Rights Grant Program. This, coupled with our recent restoration of our front doors, will make the front of our building shine!

  • Following the issues surfacing in schools all across the US following this year's Presidential election, our student council created a public service announcement that was posted to You Tube. It was quite a hit! Go to You Tube and type in "Central High School Stuco PSA."

  • We are very proud of our diversity at Central. We currently have students in our school whereby in their families they speak 21 different languages and who represent 24 countries. We are definitely "Many Cultures One World!"

  • Academically, Central continues to win awards, contests etc. Our science fair had over 400 students participate whereby many of our students projects will go on to compete in state, regional, national and international contests.

  • Happy New Year to our Little Rock Central High School family.... I am sending wishes to all for a 2017 filled with the best of health, happiness and continued success!!

Go Tigers!
